Our seas and coasts are precious habitats that we must protect. At Pitter Yachtcharter, we are passionately committed to environmental protection, marine conservation, and social responsibility. On this page, you will learn more about our initiatives and how you can contribute to preserving these valuable ecosystems.

Our Environmental Protection Initiatives for the Protection of the Seas

When cleaning our yachts, we use environmentally friendly products and strive to avoid waste and properly dispose of hazardous waste such as oil and lubricants. With our beach cleaning initiative “O More Mati” and other projects, we actively contribute to the protection of the seas. Our environmental protection initiatives help reduce marine pollution and preserve the natural beauty of our coasts.

Saving the Adriatic Dolphins – Together for Marine Conservation

The Adriatic dolphins, especially the bottlenose dolphins, are a unique natural treasure of Croatia. Unfortunately, they are highly endangered. By supporting the Society for the Rescue of Dolphins e.V. and your active participation during your sailing holiday, we can protect these majestic animals. The project to save the Adriatic dolphins is an important part of our marine conservation initiatives.

Beach Cleaning and Creative Crafting with Beachcombing for Coastal Protection

Our “O More Mati” beach cleaning initiatives in Croatia are a great way to actively participate in environmental protection while having fun. Children especially love joining our actions and creatively using the collected beachcombing items. Beach cleaning significantly contributes to the preservation of coasts and the reduction of marine pollution. Creative crafting with beachcombing is a wonderful way to preserve holiday memories while supporting coastal protection.

Why is Marine Conservation So Important to Us?

Our seas face many challenges, from pollution to the impacts of climate change. Protecting the seas is crucial not only for the survival of many species but also for the balance of our global ecosystems. Marine conservation means securing the health of the oceans, preserving the livelihoods of billions of people, and leaving an intact nature for future generations. At Pitter Yachtcharter, marine conservation is therefore a matter close to our hearts, which we actively promote together with our customers and partners.

Together, we can ensure that future generations will also experience the beauty and diversity of our seas.

“Invictus – Sailing with Heart”

This wonderful project enables young people with heart conditions to spend unforgettable days on the water. Together with the organization “Herzkinder Österreich,” sailing weeks are organized where these young people not only recharge their energy but also experience valuable camaraderie. It is an honor for us to be part of this initiative. We appreciate the outstanding work of these organizations and understand how important it is to provide these children with carefree moments. This is what motivates us to continuously support this meaningful commitment.

Learn more about this special project in the report “Sailing with Heart” by Prima Magazine and discover how the “Herzkinder” enjoy their sailing holiday.

Sterntalerhof “Sibling Week” – Carefree Time While Sailing

The “Sibling Week” is a valuable break for siblings of children with severe or life-limiting illnesses or disabilities. While these siblings often have to take a backseat in everyday life and struggle with fears and feelings of guilt, their well-being is the focus during this week. Connecting with peers and engaging in shared activities give them carefree moments that strengthen them. This special week provides them with the attention they often miss in their daily lives.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the entire team at Sterntalerhof, the Sibling Week 2024 took place in Croatia, both on land and water. We are delighted that the siblings could enjoy a carefree and joyful time sailing.
