Yacht charter in the Caribbean
Paradise on earth in the middle of the Caribbean: The Antilles islands entice with breath taking nature, long sandy beaches and sea as far as you can see. For many sailing enthusiasts, sailing in the Caribbean is their greatest dream. The area is already one of the most popular sailing destinations worldwide. Especially the many small islands invite you to discover and sail. In the Caribbean, you are surrounded by exciting natural landscapes such as reefs, volcanoes or uninhabited islands that promise profound relaxation.
Sailing trip Caribbean
The warm tropical climate and unspoilt nature away from mass tourism make a sailing trip in the Caribbean a relaxing holiday. Most sailing destinations also offer a yacht charter in summer, but the winter months are best suited for a sailing holiday in the Caribbean. During this time, sailors escape hurricane season.
Our tip: Take advantage of the sailing break of other destinations and book a Caribbean yacht charter in winter or spring. With a sailing trip in the Caribbean, you can soak up the sun in winter.
Catamaran charter and sailing yacht hire in the Caribbean
Pitter Charter's Caribbean base is located in St Lucia, an island in the Eastern Caribbean. St Lucia is characterised by spectacular mountains, the Pitons, the famous two volcanic cones on the southwest coast, and luxury resorts and fishing villages alike. Inland are rainforests with incomparable waterfalls. Sailors are delighted by the island's diversity. The marina on St. Lucia is located north of Castries, in Rodney Bay. From there, sailors embark on an unforgettable time in the Caribbean with a sailing yacht or a catamaran charter.
Ideal conditions for sailing in the Caribbean
The unique sailing area offers pleasant temperatures all year round and almost perfect sailing conditions from November onwards. The best time for a yacht charter is from November to April. Be careful in the months of August and September. Hurricanes occur most frequently during these months. The island nation of the Lesser Antilles promises a lively sailing holiday.
At the Leeward Islands, navigators experience the trade winds from the east during a sailing trip in the Caribbean. The moderately strong and very consistent winds make sailing holidays an incomparable adventure. The crystal-clear waters make it easy for sailors to navigate by sight, while blue water sailing (offshore sailing) is a thrill. Those who wish can sail longer passages over the open sea between the Caribbean islands.
St. Lucia thus offers the right conditions for sporty sailors but also for a quiet sailing trip in the Caribbean.
