Yacht charter Punat: General information about the sailing area
The marina Punat is located in the southwest of the island of Krk, in a wind-protected bay of the Adriatic Sea. Due to its geographical location, the harbour is ideal for mooring and docking sailboats. The Punat sailing area is particularly popular with families and sailing beginners. But experienced sailors will also find sporting challenges in the Croatian Adriatic. Along the coast lie the oldest tourist resorts, such as fashionable Optija and Lovran. There, the landscape is characterised by lush green hills with beautiful anchor bays and crystal-clear water. The influence of the Venetians and the imperial-royal Austrian monarchy makes the region unique with its small harbour towns rich in history.
