Mallorca is an exciting and diverse island that has a lot to offer in terms of tranquillity and nature alongside the dynamic life in the capital. Idyllic rocky bays, crystal-clear water and lively hustle and bustle in the harbour towns are just a handful of the contrasts that make up the island. Mallorca is rightly considered one of the most attractive sailing destinations in Europe.
When sailing from Mallorca, you can relax completely. Discover the beauty of the Spanish island, escape from everyday life, and enjoy the beautiful coastline and the turquoise blue sea water. Explore the sailing estuary of Mallorca
The area is fascinatingly diverse: long sandy beaches in front of a turquoise sea between Ibiza and Formentera or, on the southeast coast of Mallorca, steep rocky coasts that rise bizarrely from deep blue water, many hidden bathing bays and, finally, the nature conservation paradise around the island of Cabrera. Our charter base is the ideal starting point for a "joyride" to Cabrera, a cruise to Ibiza, Formentera or Menorca, as well as a circumnavigation of Mallorca. Depending on the wind and weather, you can head for secluded bays or picturesque harbour towns. The sailing area around Majorca and the neighbouring islands spoils you in its originality with wide beaches, lonely bays, nice island towns and a lot of culture. Our local team will be happy to advise you!
Perfect sailing conditions in Mallorca
The climate on Mallorca is very pleasant all year round. You are mainly spoiled with sunshine in the months of April to October. If you sail southwest of Mallorca, the wind often comes from the southwest. The north with Menorca is still in the mistral range. In spring and autumn, the mistral also blows strongly from the northwest and brings strong seas. In the larger bays, for example off Palma or Alcudia, there are almost always good thermal breezes.
Infrastructure
Mallorca has a modern infrastructure. There is an excellent public transport network, a well-developed mobile phone and landline network, as well as running water and electricity connections in all towns and even in smaller villages. In addition, there are now very good and fast internet connections everywhere and, of course, excellent air or sea connections to the rest of Europe and mainland Spain.
In addition to over 1000 moorings, the Real Club Náutico de Palma also has an outdoor and indoor pool as well as a fitness studio and cosy lounge areas. Sailing and canoeing courses are also offered.
Shopping
A very well-stocked mini market is available directly on the pier for your provisions shopping. The adjacent old town offers countless small shops and shopping opportunities and invites you to stroll around with its many nice cafés and restaurants.
Getting to the base of Real Club Náutico de Palma
The marina is 15 minutes by taxi from Palma de Mallorca Airport. There are plenty of taxis waiting at the airport to take you to the base.
