Social Commitment at Pitter Yacht Charter 

We, at Pitter Yacht Charter, are committed not only to protecting the seas but also to social projects. With small gestures and support, we want to contribute to bringing hope and joy to people in difficult life situations.

The Christmas season is a good opportunity to pause and be grateful – not only for the beautiful moments with our loved ones but also for everything life gives us. At the same time, it reminds us of the importance of bringing joy to others and helping.

Thus, the Advent season often becomes a time of giving, and we want to use this reflective time to draw attention to a wonderful initiative that supports people in difficult life situations. 4a1

Sterntalerhof - The Sibling Week at Sailing

The Sibling Week of the Sterntalerhof gives siblings of seriously ill children the chance to just be themselves and experience carefree days. It is a valuable break for children who have a brother or sister with severe or life-shortening illnesses or disabilities. These children often stand in the shadow of their sick siblings in everyday life and carry fears, feelings of guilt, and often also the feeling of neglect. In this special sailing week, their well-being is the focus. 60a

Thanks to the great commitment of the Sterntalerhof team, the Sibling Week 2024 could take place in Croatia both on land and on water. 30a The children enjoyed wonderful sailing trips, relaxed while swimming in idyllic bays, and experienced togetherness and joy as a crew. This unforgettable time was a valuable opportunity for the siblings to experience carefree moments together and recharge – a highlight in their often challenging everyday life.

Looking Forward to the Next Sibling Week

The planning for the Sibling Week 2025 is already in full swing, and there is much anticipation for more unforgettable experiences on the water. The Sibling Week is again organized by the Sterntalerhof, a hospice for children and their families. 

The Sterntalerhof not only offers a place of peace and retreat but also supports children and families, whether through therapeutic offers or loving care. At the Sterntalerhof, a professional and interdisciplinary team from therapy and pedagogy, psychology, pastoral care, and social work – supported by specially trained therapy horses – works together. The work of the Sterntalerhof is financed exclusively through private donations.
