BAVARIA YACHTS and the Kornati Cup 2023

THE BAVARIA RACING TEAM IS BACK

BAVARIA YACHTS and the Kornati Cup are connected by a long partnership. Not only for more than 15 years as a sponsor, but it is almost a tradition that BAVARIA YACHTS participates in this great regatta with its own crew. And after a longer break it is time again at the Kornati Cup 2023, with the BAVARIA CRUISER 46 "Evodia I" from Pitter Yachtcharter the BAVARIA RACING TEAM will start. 

I, Marcus Schlichting and press officer at BAVARIA YACHTS, am participating in the Kornati Cup for the sixth time. As a crew I competed in the Kornati Cup for the first time in 2011 on the first BAVARIA 40S. Later with the BAVARIA 41S, CRUISER 45 and 2017 with our flagship BAVARIA C57.

This time I am the skipper at the helm. As tactician Eckhard is at my side. He is not only a BAVARIA veteran, but also a successful Dyas sailor. Alexander will take care of the mainsail trim and Bernd and Andreas will handle jib and gennaker.

Of course we are not only looking forward to the sailing, the exciting races, the perfect organization by the Pitter team, but also to share the joy of sailing with many BAVARIA fans over a beer in the evening. 

The new BAVARIA C46, world premiere 2023

Here in Giebelstadt one of the most exciting phases in the shipyard has just started again, the construction of a new prototype. The hull of the new BAVARIA C46 is now in our prototype building department and the finishing has started.  

The BAVARIA C46 sets new standards in the combination of space design, excellent sailing characteristics and innovative solutions.

• The BAVARIA C46 combines the typical BAVARIA space and the proven Made-in-Germany solidity with even more sailing performance and a greater feeling of well-being on board.
• The distinctive chines at the stern and BAVARIA V-bow have already given the BAVARIA C38 and C42 exceptionally good and fast sailing characteristics.
  Cossutti Yacht Design has also successfully implemented this design philosophy in the BAVARIA C46 with its 14.86 meter long and 4.70 meter wide hull.
• As a result, the BAVARIA C46 can be steered agilely, converts the wind into propulsion even faster, and at the same time allows for maximally large cabins in the stern and foreship. Thus, space and sailing pleasure are absolutely no contradiction on the BAVARIA C46. 

In summer we will celebrate the launch of the first BAVARIA C46, and at the yachting festival in Cannes the world premiere. Feel free to visit us.
