Bareboat Yacht Charter
With a bareboat yacht charter, you are the skipper of your crew
Bareboat yacht charter is quite simple to explain: One of the charter guests sails the boat himself and takes over the function of the skipper for the entire duration of the charter. This means that the skipper is responsible for the crew, both for the handling of the boat and for the safe exploration of the sailing area. To skipper a yacht, certain certificates of competency are required depending on the destination. In Croatia, where Pitter Yachtcharter is one of the largest charter fleet operators with 15 bases, the Croatian coastal patent, the B licence, an internationally valid offshore patent or a patent for near-shore sailing are required. Qualification requirements for our sailing destinations Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands and the Caribbean.
If you have sufficient experience and the necessary certificates of competency, then a bareboat yacht charter is the right choice for your holiday cruise.
As Skipper of your crew, you can:
- Enjoy your privacy with your crew as you are all alone on board with your friends and/or family.
- Explore your destination and sailing area at your own discretion. You set sail and sail at your own pace - decide for yourself how long you want to linger where, stroll in bays or explore your favourite place ashore.
- Use the otherwise spent budget for the skipper (own cabin plus provisions) elsewhere. We also offer delivery of your provisions on board in Croatia with our partner Jam Yacht Supply.
If you are an experienced sailor and would like to book a skipper for one or more days at the beginning of the trip, please contact our booking office. Skippers can also be booked later for each bareboat charter via our office, depending on availability.
